1 Timothy 3:14-17
But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; and that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

In the name of the One Who inspired the Scriptures. Amen.
Yesterday we saw that in the end there would be those who would fall away, following the doctrines of demons. We noted that we should avoid such people, especially when they claim to be teachers of God’s word. Today we see how we can know the truth. If we always check what we are taught against the Bible, we will not be led astray. More than that, the Scriptures are able to make us “wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.” The Scriptures are able to keep our faith alive, because they feed and tend our faith so that it grows. In this way the Scriptures, specifically the holy Gospel, is a means by which God’s grace comes to us. Do you fear losing your faith? Read the Scriptures! God uses them to keep your precious faith alive. Amen.
Prayer:
Holy Spirit, You caused the Holy Scriptures to be written so that we might be wise unto salvation. Work in us through Your word so that we never fall away from the true faith. We ask this to the glory of the Father, and in our Savior Jesus’ name. Amen.
