Luke 22:32
But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.
--KJV
In the name of the One Who prays that we remain in the True Faith. Amen.
Yesterday we learned that it is possible for us to lose our faith. That is a frightening reality. And most Christians know someone who has lost his faith. That is a sad reality. But today we see that it is possible to fall from faith, and to return again to it. An example of that is St. Peter who indeed lost his faith when he denied Jesus, but repented and regained his faith again. As long as there is breath in the body, there is hope for repentance and faith. But we must live our lives believing that today is the day of salvation--tomorrow may be too late. Thanks be to God, who holds out the hand of grace even when we flee from it. Amen.
Prayer:
Lord God, our heavenly Father, keep us from turning away from our Savior. Grant that the Holy Spirit brings to faith our loved ones who have fallen. We ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen.
